BAIF, one of the largest non-profit organizations in India, works with local communities and stakeholders in over 85,000 villages to develop sustainable livelihoods by applying technology and research to farming and livestock to raise productivity, conserve natural resources and promote education and health to improve social indicators. BAIF Development Research Foundation (BAIF) is established in 1967 by late Dr. Manibhai Desai, a disciple of Mahatma Gandhi. BAIF is registered under the Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950. Sixteen states of India are now being served through BAIF for betterment of the people by providing a sustainable source of livelihood.
